I assume I'm six or seven scathing MadTV parodies behind the pop culture curve here, but this mash-up of Clinton's defining campaign moment and Tom Cruise's messianic ramblings floored and terrified me.
It puts the self-pitying narcissism at the core of her pivotal pre-New Hampshire allocation of tears in perspective.

Let's not get carried away.

Let's not get carried away. Sober analysis from the Sick one:
Scientology - an evil cult designed to separate people from their money and medical science. A perfect brainwashing device created by an overweight, potato-nosed con man who took an off-the-cuff remark about really getting rich by creating his own religion and parleyed it into an international group delusion whose dupes I mean whose top members defend with a zeal that borders on Heaven's Gate + Aum Shinri Kyo fanaticism, but has recently been plagued with high-level defections. Has fanatical hollywood supporters who recently have embarassed themselves for YouTube.
Clinton - a cult of personality built up around a formerly overweight potato-nosed moderate Democratic president who enjoyed 2 terms of burgeoning internet- and China-boom-fueled economy but failed to act to alter the course of al Qaeda's increasingly bold patterns of attacks on American interests and failed to recognize an internet bubble market before it exploded and who greenlighted sales of dual application technology to the Chinese that allowed them to catch up on 30 years of lagging military tech by buying it from the U.S. Not as good a fundraiser as Scientology, since they rely on a much smaller group of more wealthy supporters. Also has members (a much smaller %, thankfully) of zealous defenders, but has recently been shaken by multiple high-level defections. Has fanatical hollywood supporters who recently have embarassed themselves for YouTube.
Nope, no parallels.
