He'll be fine. These past

He'll be fine. These past couple of days since he's denounced Wright's statements were great -- he's gotten good press on how he's handled it. The MSM is trying to draw out the story a little bit by questioning his timing (e.g. "Did he wait too long? Why did it take 28 hours for him to come out and denounce him?") -- but I think it won't affect him getting the nomination....let's hope not. This whole process has been full of surprises.

Will Wright hurt Obama in Indiana

Asking if a Mr. Wright will hurt Obama in Indiana is missing the point. Unless the superdelegates do the unthinkable (go against the will of Democratic voters) Obama has won. The race for the Democratic nomination is not even as close as it is being touted, Clinton really lost her surge pre-Iowa, as Mrs. Inevitability slumped to a third place finish in the Hawkeye State.

So we really need to re-frame this question, will Mr. Wright hurt Obama in the general election? From where we sit now it seems as if the obvious answer is yes. But remember, the political memory in this country is nonexistent. Remember Madrassas? Remember voting present? How about, Rezko?

Well, you might but you are, after all, on a website for "wonks" - I can assure you a majority of the country does not . With an electorate that has a political memory about as rouboust as Reagan's in his later year's, it is about the here-and-now.

Now any hit to to a campaign seemingly oozing momentum faster than Mr. Wright oozes hypocracy, but tommorrow? He will be just another Tony Rezko.

True, these things will be brought up again once the general election comes around, but by those items will be old news. At that point, this ever evolving election process will again morph itself, this time into a one-on-one match between the aged John McCain, and the cult leader and his pearly whites.

I do not pretend to understand Obama's cult-like following, but it is a reality, and something John McCain of all people can not overcome. Obama will turn it on, Clinton will inevitably endorse him - in the process helping heal the party - and, who were we talking about, again?

Obama/Wright

Thanks to his performance yesterday - it will ultimately help him in Indiana. The voters there already like him - in fact he had been leading by up to 6 points in recent polls.

Now that he has shown emotion and basically bitch-slapped Wright, people will empathize with him (Much like New Hampshire felt Hillary's 'pain')

Obama wins Indiana, North Carolina, and we can end this damn primary!

Unfortunately, Obama is now behind in the latest poll from Indiana.

Interesting he keeps picking up superdelegates every day at a faster rate than HRC.

A bit behind...

The "latest" polls are all pulling data from 26-27th at best. He put this to bed yesterday and it will show in force. The real test is Friday's "latest" poll.
